Gelecekle ilgili iyi ve kötü birçok senaryo üretiliyor. Makine öğrenimi ve yapay zeka kuşkusuz hayatımızı kolaylaştıracak. Teknolojik gelişmelerin insan doğası ve toplumsal yapı üzerinde etkileri olacaktır. Diğer yandan çevresel sorunlar dünyayı olumsuz etkilerken insanlık buna karşı nasıl çözümler üretecek? Bugün 3. Dünya Savaşı tehlikesi altındaki insanlığın geleceğe hazır olduğu düşünülebilir mi?

Is the future a utopia or a dystopia?

Many good or bad scenarios are being produced about the future. There is no doubt that machine learning and artificial intelligence will make the life easier for us. But of course all technological advancements will have effects on human nature and social structure. On the other hand, while the environmental problems make negative effects on the earth, how will the humanity find and produce solutions thereagainst? Today, under the threat of 3^rd World War, may the humanity be considered to be ready for the future?

Bir süredir jel baskı yapıyorum. Jel baskı yöntemi mono baskılar yapmama olanak sağlıyor. Jel plakayı kendim hazırlıyorum. Böylece hazır plakalara göre daha rastlantısal sonuçlar elde ediyorum. İstediğim mono baskıyı elde ederken ya da edinceye kadar bir sürü çöp baskı oluşuyor. Buna hatalı baskılar da diyebiliriz. Bu baskılardaki güzel ayrıntılar onları atmama engel oluyor. Onları kolajlarda kullanıyorum, kartpostallar hazırlıyorum. Bu sefer daha büyük bir çalışmada denemeye karar verdim. Onlarca hatalı baskıdan 5x5 cm boyutunda kareler kestim. Sonra da onları tuval üzerinde bir kompozisyonda birleştirdim.

Since some time, I am dealing with gel print. Gel print method allows me to produce mono prints. I myself prepare gel plates. Thus, I obtain more coincidental results in comparison to preprinted plates. So, a lot of garbage prints are generated in the course of production of the desired mono print or until it is produced. We may call them as misprints. However, beautiful details in these misprints preclude me from discarding them. That is why I am using them in collages, and production of postcards. Now, this time, I decided to try it in a larger work. I cut squares of 5x5 cm from tens of misprints, and combined them in a composition on canvas.
